 John H. "Jack" Crotty, 88, of
Indian Head Park, formerly of Countryside, and Downers Grove. Beloved husband of
Lucille (Silkwood), and also of the late Dorothy, mother of his three children. Loving father of Donna (Ray) Schulz, Anita Mansell, Karen (Ron) Small, and
step-father of Debra (Tom) Salomoun and Linda (John) Price. Dear grandfather of
seven and step-grandfather of four. Jack was a Lead Navigator for the 8th Air
Force during WWII, and an ex P.O.W.; He was a member of the 8th Air Force
Historical Society, the Robert E. Coulter Jr. American Legion Post 1941, and the
Downers Grove Kiwanis for 15 years. Visitation Friday, June 3, 2011 from 3-8pm
at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W.55th St., Countryside. Prayer
9:15am Saturday, from the funeral home to St. Cletus Church, LaGrange, for Mass
at 10am. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials to the
Veterans Administration or the Salvation Army are appreciated. Funeral Info
